Allowances as per SRC guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Head of Machakos County Government Payroll Management System
ii. In charge of monthly payroll processing and preparation of the personal emoluments budget in conjunction with county departments.
iii. Preparing of personnel emoluments reports for submission to relevant government bodies on request.
iv. Ensuring confidentiality and integrity through capturing of employees’ data correctly in payroll system.
v. Working closely with County Public Service Board to ensure only authorized and approved officers are entered/processed in payroll system
vi. Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations governing processing of personnel emoluments
vii. Ensuring that employees' salaries are processed on time and accurately within the laid regulations
viii. Requisitioning and processing of staff payroll numbers promptly to avoid delay in processing salaries
ix. Working with third party organizations to ensure that staff deductions are captured and processed accurately in payroll system.
Requirement for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i. Twelve (12) years of experience
ii. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences such as Government, Sociology, Public/Business Administration, Human Resource/Personnel Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized university/institution
iii. A Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks; and
iv. Master’s degree in Human Resource / Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Public/Business Administration, Government or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
