Terms of Service: Three (3) -year contract
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Initiating, interpreting, implementing, and reviewing administrative strategies, procedures and programme:
ii. Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative function in the department
iii. Coordinating public service reforms:
iv. Overseeing service delivering in the department;
v. Overseeing development of programmes and projects to empower to empower the community
vi. Coordinating and facilitating citizen participation in the development of policies plans and delivery of services,
vii. Overseeing state custody of county government assets;
viii. Coordinating and liaising with other directorates and department in the County
ix. Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirement
x. Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of good governance
xi. In addition, the Director will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the departmental strategic plan;
xii. Ensuring the review of departmental annual work plans and budgets:
xiii. Ensuring compliance with principles and values of departmental assets and finances; and overall management and development of staff
Qualifications:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have
i. 18 years of experience in public service
ii. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public\ Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
iii. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution:
iv. Diploma in advance Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
v. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
vi. Certify chapter six (6) of the constitution
