Basic Salary: 105,570-139,790 p.m.

Duties and Responsibilities

i.                Testing blood, urine and body fluids to diagnose illnesses like diabetes or infections.

ii.               Examining deceased bodies to determine the cause, manner and mechanism of death.

iii.              Advising primary care physicians on treatment plans based on laboratory findings.

iv.              Running laboratory services, ensuring quality assurance and supervising medical technicians.

v.               Using advanced technologies to identify genetic or molecular markers of disease.

Requirements for Appointment

i.                Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

ii.               Master’s degree in Human Pathology.

iii.              Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

iv.              Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

v.               Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.

vi.              Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

vii.             Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
