Basic Salary: 105,570-139,790 p.m.

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Duties and Responsibilities

i.                 Diagnosing, monitoring and treating children who are injured, ill or living with disabilities.

ii.                Performing comprehensive examinations on newborns and children to identify abnormalities and check for normal growth and development.

iii.              Prescribing treatment methods, including administering medication, performing surgeries and other therapies.

iv.              Discussing diagnosis and treatment plans with parents and children.

v.                Ordering tests and referring patients to specialists.

vi.              Advising patients and their family members on medication use, nutrition and preventive measures.

vii.             Creating patients’ medical reports to support other healthcare professionals.

Requirements for Appointment

i.                 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

ii.                Masters in Pediatrics and Child Health.

iii.              Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

iv.              Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

v.                Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.

vi.              Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

vii.             Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
