Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
Carrying out angular and distance measurements and computation for medium and high density topographical surveys, general engineering surveys, sub-divisional schemes. medium
area cadastral and photo control
surveys.
Requirements for Appointment
i. Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Land Surveying, Geospatial Engineering: Geomantic Engineering: Geomantic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems; Technology in Survey or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
ii. Certificate in computer applications skills.

Candidates with foreign Qualifications should get clearance from the Commission for University Education (CUE). It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents.
Note: Successful Candidates:
Successful candidates will be required to obtain the following documents and present them to the Machakos County Public Service Board: -
· Tax compliance certificate from KRA
· Clearance certificate from HELB
· Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
· Certificate of good conduct (DCI)
· Credit Reference Bureau Clearance
